• Rosin is a solid form of resin obtained from pines and other plants produced by heating fresh liquid resin to vaporize the volatile liquid terpene components. It is a glassy solid with a faint piney odour. Its melting point is 100 to 120 DegreeC. It is very flammable and burns with a smoky flame, so care should be taken during the melting process. It is semi-transparent in color from and the shades vary from yellow to black.
